Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) is a professional course offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It is the second level of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course and is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of accounting, taxation, auditing and other related areas. The curriculum is a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training and aims at developing professional competence among the students.

IPCC Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IPCC course, a student has to complete the first level of the CA course, i.e. Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and qualify for the CPT exam. Students who have completed their graduation in any discipline with at least 55% marks can also directly enrol for the IPCC course.

IPCC Examination details

The IPCC course consists of two groups, Group I and Group II, with a total of seven papers. Group I includes four papers covering Accounting, Business Laws, Ethics and Communication, Cost Accounting and Financial Management. Group II includes three papers covering Taxation, Advanced Accounting, and Auditing and Assurance.

The IPCC exam is conducted twice a year in May and November. The exam is conducted in an offline mode (pen-and-paper format) and students are required to appear for both groups together or individually. The duration of each paper is three hours, and the exam is conducted for a total of 700 marks.
